Lea & Jarryd Wallace were married at one of our preferred venues, Historic Smithonia Farm in Athens, on a crisp October day. I loved how personal, warm, and rich this wedding was. Lea & her mom took great care in making sure everything reflected their unique stories and personalities, as well as pointed to their faith.

Although this wedding had so many memorable moments and details, I’ll just mention a few favorites. Best moment? Lea’s dad sang a duet during her ceremony, which was incredibly beautiful and so special (you can see this in their video at the bottom of the post!). Best detail? First, I have to mention the awesome DIY favors by Lea’s mom. Y’all – these favors were a labor of love. She aged the little pots and grew rosemary for each guest. I loved that pomegranates (and artichokes!) were incorporated from the paper goods to the decor on the tables. Healthy eating is important to both Lea & Jarryd, and is a huge part of their lives. It was fun to weave it throughout the wedding – from the aesthetics to the delicious menu prepared by their caterer.

The florals by Bloomin’ Bouquets were jaw-dropping, and The Neons definitely gave an awesome party. This group danced all night. During the reception, Lea even surprised Jarryd with a whiskey bar. I love thoughtful surprises!

In addition to being super fun, this couple is driven and truly amazing. Lea works with Teach for America. It was always inspiring to hear about her students and work within the organization. Jarryd is a Paralympic runner. He ran in the Rio Olympics and just won the World Championship this year in London.  So, yeah, they are pretty cool. 🙂 Their proposal story was one of my favorites, ever. You can read it here.

The joyful emotions that poured through this sweet couple and their families won’t ever be forgotten. Thank you L & J for letting us share in your planning journey and first day of marriage. We love you guys!

Thank you to the very talented Caroline Fontenot for the photos, and to my friend Candice Lorraine for styling on the day of the wedding!

Stephanie and Ted celebrated with all their family and friends on the beautiful grounds of Cator Woolford Garden. Throughout her day, Stephanie incorporated several elements of a traditional Chinese wedding, including the classic colors of red and gold, cocktail hour in her Mom’s wedding gown, and a total of five outfit changes throughout the evening.

They said their vows in a hedge-lined garden, followed by a cocktail hour and dinner in a cobblestone courtyard. After dinner, guests were driven by golf cart, up to the reception space, a glass atrium with soaring ceilings. At the end of the evening, Stephanie and Ted’s exited on bicycles, a favorite pastime for the couple!

We loved being a part of this unique wedding. Stephanie and Ted, wishing many blessings on your marriage! Hoping to come to California soon to visit!

A special thank you to Borrowed & Blue for featuring this wedding.

Last year, we helped our brides to create some of the PRETTIEST weddings, if I do say so myself. This early summer wedding at The Hill was absolutely magical. Our bride Brittany (who works with Matchstic Branding) is so good at all the things, y’all.

Look at these paper goods, which were a collaboration between the bride herself and Jess from Bohemian Ink. They are so fun and different! I am obsessed, and so grateful I got to style these pretties. Brittany is a trendsetter, too. Watercolor wasn’t really a thing last year, and I love this take on it. She also created her own wedding signage – can you say talented?

Although all of the details were stunning, the thing I loved most about Brit & Wes’s wedding day was the intention and love they poured into those around them. The details mattered – because the people mattered. Brit and Wes wanted their wedding day to exude the love of Christ! They are inclusive and dedicated friends. I couldn’t imagine a more love-filled and Christ-centered day.

Thank you to Rustic White & Rusticus Films for telling their story.

Also, a big thank you to Grey Likes for featuring this beautiful day, as well! Click to the link to see more.

Julianne & Alex’s soft, pretty spring wedding at The Stables at Foxhall Resort was such a joy to plan & design. These two have this contagious giddiness when they are around each other. I can’t tell you what a sweet gift it is to be around them. They are both so genuinely kind and caring.

Our sweet couple met through a ministry at Auburn. We quickly connected since my husband Matt and I actually met through a ministry at the University of Georgia. (Fun fact!)

My favorite detail had to be their paper goods. Julianne had such a hard time deciding what direction to go in, and I am so glad she finally chose our friend Karla with Written Word Calligraphy. For their table numbers, they chose locations important to their story as a couple, which brought a unique touch to the reception.

The florals by Tulip were lush and soft. They brought Julianne’s organic vision to life perfectly. So excited to finally share this wedding on the blog. Thank you to Michelle Landreau with Morning Light Photography for always doing a beautiful job.

Oh – and can you even tell we had to enact the rain plan? The ceremony setting is still absolutely perfect. 🙂 Enjoy!

So happy to finally get to share one of my favorite weddings from this past year at The Stave Room. Aubrie and Trae were so wonderful to work with… aren’t they cute? Aubrie and her mom had a gorgeous vision for her day, and I was thrilled they hired me to help make it happen. Her mom is so creative – she actually MADE the grapevine lights over the dance floor and recovered two small settees to use at the wedding. Isn’t that amazing?

We loved incorporating some details from New Orleans, where A & T fell in love, and also giving a nod to the groom’s French heritage. Thanks to Rustic White Photography for the beautiful pictures… see the full feature here on Every Last Detail!

Magnolia leaves were used throughout the event. Magnolias are Louisiana’s state flower! At cocktail hour, guests enjoyed an oyster bar, French 75’s, and Southern Mules (made with American Spirit whiskey – the venue’s own!). Following the first dances, guests were invited to a Southern buffet with fried chicken, collards, grits, mac and cheese and more. Tables were named after the couple’s favorite spots in NOLA.

Hand tied lavender was placed at each setting. Such a pretty detail for Aubrie’s guests, with inspiration pulled from French lavender fields. The architectural pattern in the linens reminded us of the cast iron gates and balconies of Creole homes.

The New Royals kept the party going, and guests also enjoyed a photobooth with purple & gold props. The couple exited with sparklers to a gorgeous Rolls Royce… our fave!

Joana and Ryan’s midtown wedding was studded with personal touches that showed their lively, joyful personalities. Throughout the day, this couple emphasized their loved ones, especially their pets, who joined their First Look portrait session and adorned their wedding cake.

The couple and their guests danced the night away while a (perfectly color coordinated) sun set over their rooftop reception. So beautiful! Thank you Hannah Woodard for sharing these lovely photos. We loved working with you Joana and Ryan! 🙂 Thank you for letting us share in your joy.

Happy Holidays, sweet friends!

We are so excited to share Kendrick & Mike’s winter wedding at Summerour from this past December. Winter weddings end up having some of my favorite details. In Georgia, the season passes too quickly!

Kendrick was so easy to work with – laid back, but had a stunning vision. We are honored to have been part of their beautiful day, which ended in a killer dance party with Fernando from Lethal Rhythms. Happy One Year, Kendrick & Mike!

I have a slight obsession with 30A. The sweet little towns of Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary, and Alys Beach are really beautifully done – each one has its own feel and design, all perfect for destination weddings! I will follow weddings anywhere – but especially here.

This inspiration shoot in particular follows the sweet storyline of a couple’s private getaway to Alys Beach to celebrate their one year anniversary with a vow renewal.

Thank you so much to Simply Sarah Photography for these beautiful photos and to Style Me Pretty for the feature. Check out the full feature on Style Me Pretty here.

It was such a joy to experience the happiness that radiated around Andrea and Tyler’s wedding day. We loved all the personal touches that were planned throughout the whole day- from the cross Tyler built for the ceremony to the hilarious garter toss show. It’s easy to see these two have something very special.

Congratulations Andrea and Tyler! Thank you for letting us be a part of your story!

Aren’t Stacie and Scott precious? Their July Summerour Studio wedding was a joy to be a part of. My favorite part is when the DJ played “Stacy’s Mom” and Stacie and her mom went crazy on the dance floor. That may have been one of my favorite moments of last year – haha!

Enjoy their photos from Photosynthesis Studio. Thanks to our sweet friends at Bloomin’ Bouquets for the referral! (They’re the best, y’all.)
